As promised in the previous post (20 Nov) Orgalime have elected a new President. He is Mr Robert Mahler, outgoing President of the French Fédération des Industries Electriques, Electroniques et de Communication (FIEEC). Yesterday, he succeeded Professor Edward G. Krubasik, as President of the European engineering industries association.
Mr Mahler graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d’Electricité (SUPELEC) and began his industrial career in 1972. He successively became Project Manager for the steel industry processes, Director of the Gas Turbine activity (1985-1993) and President of the Transmission and Distribution Sector (1993-2000) in ALSTOM. He is now President France, ALSTOM.
Additionally, Mr Mahler is President of SUPELEC and Chairman of the Board of France’s Laboratoire National de Métrologie et d’Essais (LNE).
Robert Mahler takes the helm at a particularly important phase which will see the outcome of industrial policy initiatives, such as Electra and EnginEurope, both of which were borne from Orgalime (in conjunction with the European Commission) during the last two years.Author : EngineerComms
